See, Hear, Respond webinar

The See, Hear, Respond partnership has been created specifically to help children and young people in England who are experiencing harm and increased adversity during COVID-19, by providing support to those who are not being seen by schools or other key agencies.

On Tuesday 7 July the MHCLG’s Troubled Families Team, with the Department for Education, and Barnardos  ran a webinar to support the launch of Barnardo’s See, Hear, Respond initiative, which aims to help staff in local authorities, schools, police forces, healthcare professionals and others support vulnerable children and young people at an increased risk of abuse and exploitation since the coronavirus lockdown  as well as understand the support on offer, including:. 

    • face-to-face support for those most affected and at risk of some of today’s most pertinent issues, such as criminal exploitation, and 
    • helping children and young people reintegrate back into school
